Here's where to watch Alex Eala's US Open main draw debut vs World No. 15 Clara Tauson
Alex Eala is set to make her main draw debut at the US Open in New York.
The Filipina tennis phenom appeared in her first Grand Slam event at the French Open in May and at Wimbledon in July. She failed to make it past the first round in both women's singles games.
For her first US Open main draw match, she'll go up against world no. 15 Clara Tauson from Denmark on Aug. 25 (Philippine time). The Dane has won three Women's Tennis Association titles, including the 2021 Lyon Open, 2021 Luxembourg Open, and the 2025 Auckland Classic.
In Eala's last Flushing Meadows appearance in 2022, she won a junior Grand Slam singles championship, defeating Czech Republic's Lucie Havlíčková.
The Pinay athlete, the world's no. 70, withdrew from the Cincinnati Open earlier in August after she suffered a shoulder injury.
