Miss Supranational now accepts mothers, divorced women, and returnees
Mothers, divorced women, and repeat pageant candidates can now join the Miss Supranational competition.
On its social media pages, the international pageant organization said that this move reflects the organization's commitment to "inclusivity, progress, and celebrating the diversity of individuals" who embody their values.
In these changes, candidates who have previously competed at Miss Supranational may return to participate in Miss Supranational after two years. However, candidates who have previously won the title are exempt from this change.
With this, the national organization may choose to adapt its eligibility requirements for returnees accordingly.
The organization will also accept divorced women and mothers, but they should not be married. The age limit remains at 18-32 years old.
For Mister Supranational, the eligibility requirements are similar. Contestants can be married, divorced, or have children, and the age limit is 18 to 34 years old.
Eduarda Braum of Brazil was crowned Miss Supranational 2025, succeeding 2024 titleholder Harashta Haifa Zahra of Indonesia. Fil-German Anna Lakrini, who represented the Philippines at the Miss Globe 2023, finished as first runner-up, while Philippine bet Tarah Valencia finished third runner-up.
Katrina Llegado, the reigning Miss Supranational Philippines, will represent the Philippines at the Miss Supranational 2026 competition.
In 2024, Alethea Ambrosio was named Miss Supranational Asia and Oceania. The country currently has one Miss Supranational title holder, Mutya Datul, who was crowned in 2013.
