You may get free bus, truck rides in these areas amid the inclement weather on July 23

The Department of Transportation said its "libreng sakay" alongside the Philippine Ports Authority and the Philippine Coast Guard will continue on July 23, Wednesday as commuters remain affected by the recent rains and flooding.

In a Facebook post, the DOTr said trips for buses and trucks are scheduled from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m., and from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on the following routes:

In its weather advisory at 5 a.m., PAGASA said heavy rains are expected today due to the southwest monsoon or habagat.

There will be rains of 50 to 100 millimeters in La Union, Nueva Vizcaya, Ifugao, Mountain Province, Nueva Ecija, Quezon, Oriental Mindoro, Palawan, Marinduque, Romblon, Masbate, Sorsogon, Albay, Camarines Sur, Catanduanes, Antique, and Iloilo.

Rains of 100 to 200 millimeters will happen in Pangasinan, Benguet, Tarlac, Pampanga, Bulacan, Metro Manila, Cavite, Batangas, Laguna, and Rizal.

Zambales, Bataan, and Occidental Mindoro will have rains over 200 millimeters.

On July 24, Thursday, 50- to 100-millimeter rains are forecast in Nueva Vizcaya, Tarlac, Nueva Ecija, Quezon, Oriental Mindoro, Palawan, Marinduque, and Romblon.

Some 100- to 200-millimeter rains are set in Pampanga, Bulacan, Metro Manila, Cavite, Batangas, Laguna, Rizal, and Occidental Mindoro.

Zambales and Bataan will exceed 200 millimeters of rain.
