Philippines' representative Yashna Sharma was hailed first runner-up at the recently concluded Miss Teen Icon International held at Phnom Penh, Cambodia, on May 25.

On Instagram, Sharma shared a moment of gratitude after winning the international pageant, citing challenges she encountered due to a shorter preparation time.

"And just like that, I'm holding a crown after my [three]-week surreal journey. When others had months to prepare, I only had [two] weeks before the pageant," she began.

Nonetheless, she is still grateful for the opportunity and timing, as all she needed in the pageant "came together with ease."

"In between fittings, pasarela practice, [and] shoots, I felt so ready! The end of one phase, [the] beginning of another," Sharma concluded her post.

During the national costume round, the proud mental health advocate showcased Filipino artistry through her ensemble, which was inspired by the MassKara festival combined with the graceful poise of Maria Clara.

"My national costume embodies the rich tapestry of Filipino heritage," she wrote.
