LOOK: The K-drama-inspired details of Shaira Diaz and EA Guzman’s star-studded wedding
Unang Hirit host Shaira Diaz and actor EA Guzman finally tied the knot on Aug. 14 after 12 years of being together.
The pair was engaged on Christmas 2021, but only publicized it in 2024. Diaz vowed to marry Guzman only after she got her college degree, which she achieved in August of that year.
The ceremony, held at St. Benedict Church in Silang, Cavite, was attended by their family, fellow actors, and network executives.

“We prayed for this, ang daming nagdasal para sa araw na ‘to, so thank you,” Shaira said on Unang Hirit the morning after the wedding. “Masaya rin kami na ang daming nagpunta at nag-celebrate kasama kami.”
But their wedding was not just a beautiful ceremony. It was also a charming tribute to Diaz's passion for K-dramas, complete with a hashtag that perfectly captured their romance: #SHAIranghEAyo!
A pre-nup shoot that captured their “main character” moment
For their pre-nuptial shoot, the couple flew to Nami Island, South Korea— a popular K-drama location that has appeared in series like Winter Sonata, Hi Bye, Mama!, and My Love From the Star. The photos look straight out of a movie, with the couple donning cozy, warm-toned outfits also inspired by K-drama characters. The island’s picturesque garden pathways and famous cherry blossoms perfectly set the scene.
Photography was done by Nice Print Photo, who also shot Kristel Fulgar and Suhyuk’s wedding, Zeinab Harake and Ray Parks Jr.’s wedding, and Niana Guerrero’s 18th birthday, among many others.
Dreamy looks
South Korean fashion designer Choi Jae Hoon created Shaira’s classic yet breathtaking bridal gown. The look, which features an embellished bodice and a voluminous skirt, was part of the designer’s 2024 bridal collection.

Diaz shared on Instagram that “tears fell the moment I tried the dress on” during her initial fitting in Seoul. She also returned to Korea herself to pick up the dress to avoid delays.
Styled by Cath Sobrevega, the actress paired the gown with simple jewelry and an oversized, cascading bouquet of white orchids by event designer Gideon Hermosa.

Guzman’s classy black suit, designed by Francis Libiran, also featured an orchid at the chest pocket.
As for glam, Diaz wanted a “Korean dreamy look,” inspired by K-beauty’s fresh and minimalist aesthetics. Her hair and make-up were done by Joan Quizon, while Dexter Gonzalgo styled the groom.
The long-awaited vows
The couple previously caught the public’s attention for their vow to remain celibate until marriage, which Guzman admitted was initially challenging. At their wedding, the two showed utmost appreciation and respect for each other for both keeping their promise.
“Baba, we chose a path not everyone would understand. To wait. To honor God. And to honor each other by practicing purity. It wasn't always easy. But it was worth every moment,” he said during the ceremony. “Because through the waiting, I learned that love is not just about desire, but about discipline, respect, and commitment.”

The actor continued, "And now, I have to say that every second of patience brought me to the most beautiful reward. And that's you.”
Diaz began her vows with, “From this day forward, you'll never have to wait again. My love, we made it, we're finally here.”
"You love me. You love my family. You love me patiently. You accepted me. You let me grow. You embraced my whole family. You kept the promise you made to my parents," she added.
Diaz said she slept at 2 a.m. the night before because she was still finishing writing her vows.
Star-studded entourage
The ceremony was well-attended by stars and executives. Among the bridesmaids were Julia Montes, Jasmine Curtis-Smith, and Arra San Agustin, while her Unang Hirit co-hosts Kaloy Tingcungco and Anjo Pertierra were bridesmen.
Guzman's groomsmen were Coco Martin, Rayver Cruz, Rodjun Cruz, Joross Gamboa, Jose Sarasola, and Gerald Anderson.
Principal sponsors reportedly included Boy Abunda, Sen. Jinggoy Estrada, Arnold Clavio, Susan Enriquez, Jean Garcia, Ben Chan, producer Arnold Vegafria, and GMA Network Inc. executives Annette Gozon-Valdes, Nessa Valdellon, Joy Marcelo, and Cheryl Ching Sy.

Also in attendance were Jennylyn Meraco, Vicky Morales, Chris Tiu, and EA’s Bubble Gang co-stars Michael V., Cheska Fausto, Kokoy De Santos, Matt Lozano, Chariz Solomon, and Paolo Contis.
