Jacob Elordi got into a heated verbal exchange with an official at the Venice Film Festival, where his film Frankenstein made its world premiere.

A TikTok user captured the exchange on Aug. 30, wherein the Saltburn actor was seen arguing with an official, which the user called a "bodyguard," as he greeted and took photos with fans on the red carpet.

"I'm going to take a picture right here," he's heard as saying as he snapped a selfie with some fans.

"Don't ever tell me what to do," Elordi continued.

@mancrushdaily and he was so nice, took photo with everyone he can, he is so sexy and nice please😮‍💨🥺 #actor #man #crush #celebritycrush #celebrity #handsomeboy #hot #viralvideo #jacobelordi #boy #foryou ♬ suono originale - Hot Male Celebs😮‍💨🫦

The moment drew mixed reactions from online users, with some feeling bad for the official.

"He's there for your safety. He's doing his job," one TikTok user commented.

"But if something happened, he would be blaming the bodyguard for not being aware. Honestly, the entitlement of some celebrities," added another.

Another presumed that the man was a part of the Venice Film Festival event team tasked with getting stars to follow the schedule.

"He['s] trying to tell him that he didn't have time to be signing autographs," replied one user.

Meanwhile, others applauded Elordi for taking time to be with fans.

"Fans literally waited for hours just for a photo or autograph. He wanted to give them that.. It was kind of him to make time for them even if it was risky," a user wrote, adding that the video didn't capture how the official asked the Australian actor to move forward.

"[People] complain no matter what. If he doesn't stop to take pictures, people will say he is arrogant. If he stopped to take pictures and basically tell the person whatever he said, he is rude. Like people are never happy," another chimed in.

One TikTok user also commented that Elordi was just "trying to give love to his fans."

Frankenstein, directed by Guillermo del Toro, premiered at the Venice Film Festival to a 13-minute standing ovation. Oscar Isaac stars as the titular mad scientist, with Elordi as his monstrous creation. The cast also includes Mia Goth, Christoph Waltz, and Felix Kammerer.

The film will be based on the classic Mary Shelly novel, where Victor Frankenstein brings a creature to life by putting together dead body parts. However, the specimen turns out to be a monstrous being that Victor and mankind reject.

Elordi is known for his roles in Sofia Coppola's Priscilla, in which he played Elvis Presley, Saltburn, Euphoria, The Kissing Booth movies, and The Sweet East.
