Did BTS' Jimin and actress Song Da Eun date in the past?

BIGHIT MUSIC, the label behind BTS, has issued a statement addressing rumors about the dating life of the boy group's vocalist Park Jimin.

The BTS member sparked dating rumors anew with Song Da Eun when the actress reportedly shared a TikTok on Aug. 27 of her surprising Jimin in an elevator.

In its Aug. 31 statement, the agency did not name Song, but said that it chose to speak out about the rumors as speculative reports about Jimin's personal life have continued to surface.

“The artist and the individual in question were once acquainted with mutual affection in the past, but that was several years ago, and they are not in a relationship at present,” BIGHIT said to the press, as translated by Soompi.

"We ask that you refrain from making reckless speculations about their private lives. We earnestly request that you also refrain from any actions that could cause harm to the individual who is being mentioned alongside the artist."

Rumors of a relationship between the two began in 2022, when Song posted a now-deleted photo of an earphone case labeled “DAEUN” and “JIMIN.” She later shared images of herself wearing a BTS T-shirt, further fueling speculation. Neither Jimin nor BigHit Music addressed the rumors at the time.

An entertainment insider told Korean outlet Money Today that Jimin and Song broke up a long time ago and that most of the photos Song posted were "taken in the past."

Song is known for her appearances in Heart Signal 2, The Handmaiden, Once Again, More Than Friends, and Be Melodramatic.

In 2023, BIGHIT MUSIC previously responded to dating rumors surrounding V, who was speculated to be dating BLACKPINK's Jennie.

Jimin was discharged from military service in June alongside Jungkook.
