Jeraldine Blackman of The Blackman Family responded to social media users saying that her separation from her Australian husband Josh was a “prank” and was only for “clout.”

The Filipina vlogger replied to some of her followers in the comments section of her split announcement on Facebook, noting that it’s “not a joke.”

“We would never be so disrespectful to joke about this and we thank all our community here for their support,” she wrote.

In another comment, a Facebook user pointed out that “there’s always pranks with content creators.” To which, Jeraldine noted, “Unfortunately, this is not one of them.”

Replying to another fan who said she was hoping her breakup post was just a “prank,” Jeraldine said, “We would never prank like this. Just want to be open and inform you guys.”

The content creator stressed in another comment that they “would never make light of such a serious topic."

She assured their fans that The Blackman Family will remain active on social media moving forward. “We hope to continue making content," she commented on her own post, "but it will be different now."

Jeraldine tearfully announced her separation from Josh on social media on Feb. 21.

In another Instagram post, she noted that they're on good terms and are following a co-parenting setup. "We are friends. We have a good co-parenting relationship and we are doing this for our kids," she wrote, asking the public not to "assume things" about their split.

The former couple met in 2015 and tied the knot two years later. They share two kids: Nimo and Jette.

Jeraldine began creating content in 2022, sharing glimpses of her life with The Blackman Family and their lighthearted moments, including skits and pranks online. Their page has garnered 5.6 million followers on Facebook and 3.2 million followers on Instagram as of writing.
