Kris Jenner reveals why she got a facelift: 'This is aging gracefully, my version'

Kris Jenner got candid about the cosmetic surgery she's had, after her facelift made the rounds earlier in May.

The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star debuted a rejuvenated look at Lauren Sánchez's bachelorette party and has been candid about the aesthetic enhancements.

She got deeper into her cosmetic journey in her cover story interview with Vogue Arabia for September.

"I had a facelift about 15 years ago, so it was time for a refresh," the 69-year-old "Momager" told the magazine. "I decided to do this facelift because I want to be the best version of myself, and that makes me happy. Just because you get older, it doesn't mean you should give up on yourself."

"If you feel comfortable in your skin and want to age gracefully—meaning you don't want to do anything—then don't do anything. But for me, this is aging gracefully. It's my version."

In 2011, Kris got her first facelift, as documented on Keeping Up with the Kardashians.

The reality star also shared that her daughter, Kylie Jenner, came with her to the procedure, which was done by Dr. Steven Levine. Meanwhile, Kim Kardashian was present via FaceTime.

Furthermore, Kris bared the recent cosmetic surgeries she's had in the cover story interview, as she feels "it can be very inspirational to people who aren't feeling so great about themselves."

"Even when I had my hip replacement, we filmed it. I have the conviction that sharing these things can be helpful," she said to Vogue Arabia.

Kris had her hip replaced in 2022 after she was unable to walk or sleep properly due to pain. After the surgery, she said she felt like a "bionic" woman.

She has also received Botox injections and even gifted her friends and family with gift cards to Botox Cosmetic for Christmas in 2019.

"Who doesn't love Botox? For me, it's been really great. If you're responsible and you talk to your doctor. I think it works. It's something that I've been using for a long time," she told PEOPLE at the time.

In 2018, Kris got her earlobes surgically reduced, as she wanted "cute ears."

Years earlier, in 2015, she shared on E!'s Good Work that she got breast implants in the 80s after she gave birth to her first four children—Kourtney, Kim, Khloé, and Rob—with lawyer Robert Kardashian.

"It was great for about 25 years or 30... And then a couple of years ago, I felt like they were too big. And I felt matronly and nothing fit anymore," she said, adding that she had the implants replaced with smaller ones.

As she turns 70 in November, Kris said that she wants to be like her mother, who worked until she was 82.

"I'm planning on following suit. Maybe [work until I'm] 85?"
