‘Boys Over Flowers’ and ‘Playful Kiss’ actor Kim Hyunjoong is getting married to his non-celebrity gf
It looks like F4’s silent charmer Yoon Jihoo has finally found the love of his life.
Hallyu star Kim Hyunjoong personally announced to fans at his “Words I Want to Say” concert on Feb. 27, Sunday, that he’s set to tie the knot with his non-showbiz girlfriend.
In a report by Soompi, the singer-actor said his fiancée is “someone who has stayed by my side through my most difficult and exhausting time.”
“Since we can meet in person and talk like this, I think today will be very meaningful. It was your love and support during my darkest days that I was able to take courage and embark on the second half of my life. I felt I would regret it all my life if I only expressed myself through words, considering the infinite love and support I’ve received, so I wanted to take this opportunity at this concert to share this news,” Hyunjoong added.
According to Korean media reports, the couple is described as “best friends who have known each other for a long time.” They’re also not planning to hold a wedding due to the pandemic.
However, additional details about the singer-actor’s fiancée are yet to be revealed.
Hyunjoong’s entertainment agency Henecia also confirmed Hyunjoong’s engagement, saying they are “cautious” about releasing news on his fiancée’s identity.
“Their precious relationship began during a difficult time and are now taking their cautious first steps toward their shared life together. We ask for everyone’s warm support for the couple,” Henecia’s statement read, as per a translation by Soompi.
Hyunjoong debuted as the leader and main vocalist of the five-member K-pop boy group SS501 in 2005. He also made a name for himself as an actor after starring as Yoon Jihoo in Boys Over Flowers and Baek Seungjo in Playful Kiss.
