The Straw Hat Pirates will be back for another adventure, as One Piece has been renewed for season 3 ahead of the premiere of its second season.

Netflix announced the greenlight for the show during the annual One Piece Day celebration in Tokyo, Japan on Aug. 10.

Production on the third season will begin later in 2025 in Cape Town, South Africa, with series writer Ian Stokes joining Joe Tracz as co-showrunner.

In addition, Netflix also released a first look at season 2, with the Straw Hat Pirates returning with their sights set on the Grand Line. According to the official synopsis, the new season will unleash "fiercer adversaries and the most perilous quests yet."

"As they journey through this unpredictable realm in search of the world’s greatest treasure, they’ll encounter bizarre islands and a host of formidable new enemies," it read.

One Piece, based on Eiichiro Oda's manga series, follows Monkey D. Luffy (Iñaki Godoy) and the rest of the Straw Hats crew: Roronoa Zoro (Mackenyu), Nami (Emily Rudd), Usopp (Jacob Romero), and Sanji (Taz Skylar).

As teased during TUDUM in May, the beloved reindeer-boy hybrid Tony Tony Chopper will make his debut.

Other new faces will also be introduced, including David Dastmalchian as Mr. 3, Katey Sagal as Dr. Kureha, Sendhil Ramamurthy as Nefartari Cobra, and Joe Manganiello as Mr. 0.
