Attention, anime fans! A concert featuring the music of 'One Piece' is set for November

The Straw Hats Pirates' next stop is Manila! A concert featuring the music of One Piece is coming to the Theatre at Solaire this November.

The concert, titled ONE PIECE Music Symphony, will bring fans on an adventure reliving their favorite moments of the anime. It will feature Kohei Tanaka's original score performed by over 60 musicians from the Filharmonika Orchestra under the direction of a guest conductor, who has yet to be announced.

Tanaka specially prepared new arrangements and music for the tour, including the new TV opening UUUUUS!, fan favorites Haha naru Umi (Mother Sea), Sekai no ichiban oden ka (This is the best oden in the world!!), and Ore no saikouchiten (Luffy's Gear 5 Theme).

Alongside the live music, longtime fans of Monkey D. Luffy and the Straw Hat Crew, as well as newcomers, get to watch scenes from the anime on the big screen.

The concert is set for Nov. 8 and 9, with tickets starting at P1,999 for Cat. E, P2,999 for Cat. D, P4,499 for Cat. C, P5,999 for Cat. B, and P6,999 for Cat. A.

Meanwhile, Ticketworld pre-sale starts on Aug. 15 to 17 and public on-sale is set for Sept. 2, 12 p.m.

Film Concerts PH is also holding Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back in Concert this August with shows on Aug. 30, 6 p.m., and Aug 31, 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. at the Theatre at Solaire in Parañaque City.

One Piece, written and illustrated by Eiichiro Oda, is a Japanese manga series following the adventures of Monkey D. Luffy and the Straw Hat Pirates. It was adapted into an animated series that premiered in October 1999 and a Netflix live-action series in 2023. The latter stars Iñaki Godoy, Emily Rudd, Mackenyu, Jacob Romero Gibson, and Taz Skylar.
