Here are the ticket prices for 'MPO ROCKS,' which puts orchestral twist on Coldplay, My Chemical Romance songs
Ever wondered how rock and modern songs from Coldplay, My Chemical Romance, and more would sound like if it was performed by an orchestra?
The Manila Philharmonic Orchestra is set to make that a reality through their upcoming symphonic rock concert this November.
Called MPO ROCKS!, the first-of-its-kind concert will feature orchestral renditions of rock classics and modern hits from Queen, Coldplay, and My Chemical Romance, and even OPM bands like the Eraserheads.
The show will feature the internationally acclaimed Philippine Madrigal Singers along with other guest artists, including powerhouse diva Bituin Escalante and Queen cover band lead singer Mig Ayesa.
MPO founder Maestro Rodel Colmenar shared that the symphonic rock concert was something he had wanted to do for a long time.
"During my time with the orchestra, I often wondered how rock music would sound when combined with orchestral arrangements," he said.
"I want the audience to experience a different side of the symphony orchestra and see what makes the MPO stand out from other groups," he added.
MPO ROCKS! will be held at the Samsung Performing Arts Theater on Nov. 29.
Tickets to the show range from P2,575 to P7,210 depending on the seats. The sale will start on Aug. 30 at 12:00 p.m.
