WATCH: Final sinister adventure unfolds in Hawkins in 'Stranger Things 5' official teaser

The official teaser for Stranger Things' fifth and final season is now out.

In the nearly three-minute teaser, Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) and her squad are gearing up for their final mission of finding and killing Vecna, a strange humanoid that has been wreaking havoc in the small town of Hawkins.

It showed Max (Sadie Sink) still in a coma following her brutal face-off with Vecna in season four, and the whole group navigating the crumbling town as predatory creatures from the Upside Down bring chaos.

"Complicating their mission, the government has placed the town under military quarantine and intensified its hunt for Eleven, forcing her back into hiding. As the anniversary of Will’s disappearance approaches, so does a heavy, familiar dread. The final battle is looming—and with it, a darkness more powerful and more deadly than anything they’ve faced before," the synopsis read.

The now grown-up gang also appears scared, but also braver than ever. "To end this nightmare, they’ll need everyone—the full party—standing together, one last time," the voiceover said.

The final season sees the main cast reprising their roles: Winona Ryder as Joyce Byers, David Harbour as Jim Hopper, Finn Wolfhard as Mike Wheeler, Gaten Matarazzo as Dustin Henderson, Caleb McLaughlin as Lucas Sinclair, Sadie Sink as Max Mayfield, Noah Schnapp as Will Byers, Natalia Dyer as Nancy Wheeler, Charlie Heaton as Jonathan Byers, Joe Keery as Steve Harrington, and Maya Hawke as Robin Buckley.

New faces joining the cast are Nell Fisher as Holly Wheeler, Jake Connelly as Derek Turnbrow, Alex Breaux as Lt. Akers, and Linda Hamilton as Dr. Kay.

The first volume of the final season drops on Nov. 26, while volume 2 premieres on Christmas Day. The final episode will be released on New Year's Eve.
