Join the celebration: Pride events happening this June

The most colorful time of the year is here.

This June, the Filipino LGBTQIA+ community celebrates Pride. It's a time for joy, to show who they are, and to stand up for their rights to be themselves and be equal.

Want to join the fun? Here's a list of Pride events happening in Metro Manila you won't want to miss.

June 6-8 and June 13-15: Komiket Pride

First stop: Queer arts and comics! Art organization Komiket is launching Komiket Pride 2025, happening in different venues on June 6 to 8 and June 13 to 15. 

An explosion of colors awaits visitors at Ayala Malls The 30th on the first leg of the event, featuring three areas of exhibitors from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

The entrance is free, and you get to support local queer komiks and art.

June 7: QC Pride Run

For those who’d like to break boundaries and sweat, then run some laps at the first Quezon City Pride Run on June 7, in collaboration with the QC Local Government. 

With a registration fee of P500, participants will get to run for 5 kilometers along Tomas Morato at 6 p.m. 

They will also receive a medal, running tee, LED wristband, and racer bib. It’ll be placed in a race kit that can be claimed from June 4-6, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., at the Phase 2 Covered Walk of the QC City Hall. Don’t forget to bring an ID and the confirmation email.

June 7-10 & June 28: Love in Every HUE in Araneta City

Love is something that should be celebrated, regardless of gender. So, what could be a better way than to celebrate in Araneta City’s array of events? After finishing their Rainbow Run on June 1, Araneta City will be hosting the Rainbow Trade Fair featuring QWARTA Merkado on June to 10 at the Activity Area, Lower Ground Floor, Farmers Plaza. 

They’ll also be hosting on June 10, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the same venue, a “Rainbow Talks” plenary discussion for all queerpreneurs out there who want to succeed not just in love, but in business as well. 

And to cap off the festivities, Gatewell Mall 2 will host the “Love Laban in Every HUE - Love Laban 3 Pride Village” on June 28 from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.

But while waiting for the events, you can enter their “Story of Hue” event by tagging a friend who brings pride to your life along with a photo, using the hashtags, and following all their socials for a chance to win two tickets to the Bb. Pilipinas Grand Coronation Night.

June 14: QUEERLAYAAN Art Market

If you can’t get enough of beautiful and heartwarming queer art, then visit the Bayanihan Center in Pasig City on June 14 for “QUEERLAYAAN: A Pride Celebration and Art Market Year 2.” 

Artists and art enthusiasts alike will get to enjoy arts and crafts, accessories, and other stationery made by local artists for only P100. 

As a Globe Telecom-powered event, entry is free for participants who redeem one reward point on the GlobeOne app.

Juen 2021: QueerCon 2025

Here comes another opportunity for queerpreneurs out there to showcase their businesses, as Southeast Asia’s first LGBTQIA+ business expo, QueerCon 2025, is coming to Ayala Malls Trinoma on June 20-21. 

Businesses get to showcase their products at the PalenQUEER merchant booths, enjoy performances at the Pride Piging, and share—or listen—to diverse stories on Sari-Sari Stories. 

Admission is free; just register here to become a part of the screening process for a booth slot.

June 21: HERE COMES THE PRIDE at Vice Comedy Club

Care for some unakabogable drag, anyone? Then don’t miss the Pride Drag Brunch happening at the Vice Comedy Club on June 21 at 11:30 a.m. 

The show will feature performances from the iconic drag queens Brigiding, Jayvhot G, Khianna, Precious Paula Nicole, Viñas Deluxe, Angel, Arizona Brandy, Bernie, Shewarma, and Russia Fox. 

Open House is at 10 a.m. and the show will start at 11:30 a.m. There will also be a meet-and-greet at 2:30 p.m.

June 25-27: Rainbow QC Pride Film Festival

If a day in the movie theater is what you need for Pride Month, then check out QCinemas’ film fest on June 25-27 at the Gateway Cineplex 18 in Cubao. 

Featuring several queer films for three days, the Rainbow QC Pride Film Festival celebrates the diverse experiences and stories of the LGBTQIA+ community.

June 28: Love Laban Pride Fest in Diliman

Here comes the much-awaited puksaan! Fight for love in pride at the “Love Laban” Pride Festival on June 28 at the University of the Philippines Diliman. 

Considered the biggest pride event in Southeast Asia in 2023, “Love Laban” showcases a pride expo, pride march, pride night, and food and art markets. 

Organized by Pride PH, the event is known for its spectacular performances and powerful message of free love, justice, and equality across all genders.
