Ben Affleck's kids with Jennifer Garner may have been born with a silver spoon, but he's making sure they know the value of hard work.

The actor made the rounds earlier in March for his reaction to son Samuel, 13, wanting a pair of Dior Air Force 1s worth $6,000 (P340,000) they saw at a sneaker convention.

In the clip shared by Got Sole, Ben was seen shaking his head and telling his son, "You like those because they're expensive," to which Samuel answered with, "No, they're tough! I always said they look good!"

Ben has three kids with ex-wife Jennifer Garner: Samuel, Seraphina, 16, and Violet, 19.

"He wanted these sneakers and I was like, 'These sneakers are $6,000, what are you talking about? What are you gonna do, mow lawns? You got $6,000?'" the Accountant 2 star said in an interview on Today with Jenna & Friends on April 22.

"He was like, 'We have the money.' I was like, 'I have the money! You're broke!'"

He went on to say that he thinks it's a "disservice" to not teach kids about working for what they want, even though you love them and want to give them everything.

Ben then shared that his two eldest kids have jobs.

"One just got a job, the kind of classic teenager working a shop job—I won't say what it is." My older one in college is working and trying to get an internship for the summer."

Meanwhile, the actor is teaching his son Samuel the value of the dollar.

"He's got shoes, just no crazy expensive fancy shoes. I'm like, 'Well, if you want that, you can work 1,000 hours.' You know what I mean? Minimum wage. And once you work 1,000 hours, you may not want to spend that on a pair of sneakers."
