Arci Muñoz opens up about decision to undergo plastic surgery
Arci Muñoz got candid about her decision to undergo plastic surgery as well as her realizations from it.
Serving as a guest in Toni Gonzaga's online talk show on YouTube, the actress recalled the first time she had cosmetic changes.
"When I first did my surgery, it was because I wanna boost my confidence and I was pretty young and I really needed guidance during that time. For me, I just did it for myself. I wanna do it. I wanna enhance whatever it is that God has already given me," she said.
"And what I learned is that enough is enough. You really just need this person to tell you, 'Oy, tama na, you're already beautiful.' During my time, I didn't have that, like everybody's just so supportive. [Sasabihin nila,] 'Bahala ka kung anong gusto mo,'" she added.
The local star also shared how she deals with judgment from other people.
"Ako, lagi ko lang iniisip na the only opinion that will matter in my life and to me are from those that I love, and outside of that, hindi na 'yun magma-matter sa akin kasi sino ba sila in my life?" she said.
Toni then pointed out how the criticisms often come when Arci does something with her physical appearance.
"I really don't want to mind them, kasi if I do, if I get affected, sa'kin naman ang burden. Even my mom and my dad, they support me, eh 'yan ang mga nagtanim ng pundasyon kung bakit ako ganito. Pakialam niyo ba?" she said.
Arci previously opened up about her regrets on going under the knife in an interview on Fast Talk with Boy Abunda in March.
"Sinabi ko sa sarili ko, God has a purpose because I learned and when someone approaches me and they are like 'Mona, should I do this?' 'Should I do that?' I was like, if I think they don't really need to do it, no!" she underscored.
"Wala kasing nag-guide sa akin kasi nga matigas ang ulo ko so I do whatever I want," she added. "If I can go back to that time when I didn’t touch anything, I would go back there."
Arci shared she has no plans of undergoing cosmetic surgery again as she is now happy with the way she looks.
"Wala na, okay na ako Tito Boy. Masaya na ako. Okay na ako talaga," she said.
