TikToker Natasha Allen has passed away. She was only 28 years old.

Her death was confirmed in a post shared on her Instagram page, which stated that she died on Aug. 22 after a years-long battle with synovial sarcoma—a rare type of cancer "that tends to occur near large joints, mainly the knees," according to Mayo Clinic.

"Natasha was a beautiful soul full of love, kindness, and joy. She touched countless hearts and she was a big advocate for synovial sarcoma awareness," it read. "Her spirit will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her."

The statement also included a quote from the social media star: "Find meaning in your own life, find what makes you happy, find how you can make the world around you better."

In 2020, her doctors found a tumor in her knee and confirmed it as Stage 3 synovial sarcoma. After undergoing multiple scans and treatments, she went into remission the following year. The cancer, however, returned in late 2021. It spread to her lungs and progressed to Stage 4.

Allen documented her cancer journey on TikTok, where she raised awareness of the disease.

She remained hopeful in her health updates on the social media platform. “A lot of people ask me how I stay so positive, how I don’t give up, and honestly, it’s hard a lot of the days,” she said in one of her entries. “But being with family, being with friends, and focusing on what matters really grounds you. Even though I have this rare cancer, I still want to live my life.”

A GoFundMe page called "In Memory of Natasha" has been set up. Donations will go to her memorial service, while a portion of it will go towards synovial sarcoma research.
