LOOK: Alden Richards officially starts pilot school
Alden Richards is officially on his way to becoming a pilot!
The actor was all smiles as he celebrated his first day of aviation school in Pampanga. On Instagram, he shared photos of himself in his new uniform, posing with his family.
"Day 1 starts today," he wrote in the caption.
Other clips shared online showed Alden posing with his fellow pilot trainees and his father and younger sister helping him with his uniform patches.
In an interview with Nelson Canlas, Richards shared that becoming a pilot was his dream since childhood.
"I've always been so curious paano lumilipad ang ganun kalaki at kabigat na sasakyang panghimpapawid. Tapos how it's being navigated sa langit, from point A to point B, paano nakakarating, paano nagti-take off," he said.
He had previously said that becoming a pilot was a dream he hoped to fulfill, as it had also been his father's ambition.
"Meron akong core objective to fulfill my parents' dreams na hindi nila natupad in their lifetime. And surprisingly, kagaya ng showbiz para sa nanay ko, for me, ito naman, dream ni dad for himself. Pero eventually, nagustuhan ko na rin," Alden shared.
On whether he can juggle his studies with his work as an actor, he said, "There's no such thing as a busy schedule when you make time and you have time management. Time management is the key."
According to him, once he finishes the two-year course, he will be able to earn a license to fly a commercial plane.
