Pinoy tourist dies after passing out on ride at Hong Kong Disneyland
A Filipino tourist died after losing consciousness while riding a Hong Kong Disneyland attraction.
According to a report by South China Morning Post, the 53-year-old passed out on the Frozen Ever After ride on Friday morning, Aug. 29 at around 10:00.
His wife found that he fell into a coma during the ride and alerted the staff for immediate assistance.
The Pinoy had a pre-existing medical condition, per the media outlet.
The attraction lets guests "journey aboard a boat through epic scenes to Elsa's Ice Palace, accompanied by beloved Frozen friends and songs."
A spokesperson for Hong Kong Disneyland said that medical respondents performed CPR on him while the boat was waiting to dock.
He was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 11:30 a.m.
"The resort deeply regrets the passing of the guest and will do its utmost to provide necessary assistance to his family," they said.
"Our initial investigation has shown the incident is not related to ride safety," they added.
