TRENDING: Sofia Andres draws varying reactions over PA job posting with 'mind reader' requirement
Sofia Andres became a trending topic online for her job posting, which has seemingly demanding requirements.
On Instagram Story, the actress posted a photo of the sunset in the city and added a caption saying she's looking for a personal assistant "who can read my mind, organize my chaos, and remind me where I left my coffee (and my schedule)."
"Must be 10 steps ahead, stylishly sharp, and allergic to ‘I forgot.’ Think that’s you? Slide into the inbox-applications open, excuses closed," she added as she posted her email for interested applicants.
Her job posting made the rounds online, including on showbiz subreddit ChikaPH, receiving varying reactions.
"Kahit si Nostradamus baka mahirapan sa requirements," a commenter said, pertaining to the 16th century French astrologer who supposedly predicted future events.
"Sounds like a toxic boss hiring," another Redditor said.
"Parang high standard yata si madame," a Facebook user wrote.
Other Internet users, meanwhile, were more compromising.
"Basta the price is right. Medyo alam mong picky boss 'to ah, gusto nya ng Emilyyyyyyyy," a commenter said, pertaining to the PA portrayed by Emily Blunt in the 2006 comedy drama The Devil Wears Prada. In turn, another user poked fun at Andres, saying, "She is no Miranda Priestly tho lol," referring to Emily's boss, famously portrayed by Meryl Streep.
"Not a problem if the SALARY is commensurate to the requirement. Baka naman PhP 80k/month lang pasahod niya," another commenter said.
"No hate here but I think Sofia is just lowkey making the hiring description as a sarcastic joke. I mean it’s kinda funny when you read it," another one said.
Amid the reactions she got, Andres posted another IG story to address them.
"Makalagot uy! Walay sense of humor… chill ra!” she wrote over another picture of a sunset in the city. In Tagalog, it translates to, "Nakakainis uy! Walang sense of humor... chill lang!"
In another Story, she posted a photo of a garden setting, writing that she's "a mom and keeps forgetting things."
'Okay na 'to'
While it's unclear whether she was really looking for a PA or it was just a joke, Andres shared screenshots of the supposed applications she has received so far.
One screenshot had the subject line, "Your PA who can read your mind," which she captioned, "Okay na 'to," with tears of joy emojis.
Another screenshot had the subject line, "Your PA ProMax (10x Advance)," which she captioned, "Send help," plus three tears of joy emojis.
The next application seemingly got Andres' favor, as its headline stated, "Your PA/kachismisan (pinaplano mo pa lang, nagawa ko na)." She captioned, "I think pasok ka na sa next round!" with three tears of joy emojis.
The next one also had Andres cracking, as the supposed applicant called her "vella," an apparent reference to the "What hafen vella" line of Cristopher Diwata, the former It's Showtime contestant who has gained renewed fame and scored several brand endorsements.
Andres also exclaimed, "Amay," or "father," to a supposed applicant that told her, "Mabilis po ako maglakad, keri ko kahit 20 steps ahead. Mind reading? Easy. Hindi problema 'yan, may third eye ako HAHAHAH emz."
Andres started her showbiz career during her teenage years as a commercial model. She appeared in shows like Princess and I, She's Dating the Gangster, Bagani, Pusong Ligaw, and Relaks, It's Just Pag-ibig.
