HR chief resigns from Astronomer after being seen in Coldplay kiss cam video with ex-CEO

The HR executive who was seen in a viral kiss cam video with Astronomer CEO Andy Byron during a Coldplay show has left the company—just days after the latter's resignation from his post.

"Kristin Cabot is no longer with Astronomer, she has resigned,” a spokesperson for the firm said in a statement sent to media outlets like BBC and CNBC News.

Cabot served as the chief people officer of Astronomer. Her decision to step down from her role came days after Byron resigned from the tech startup.

Viral clips of Coldplay's July 16 concert in Boston showed Byron hugging Cabot from behind, sparking affair rumors.

Seeing them on the big screen, frontman Chris Martin said, "Oh, look at these two."

Realizing that they're in the spotlight, Cabot covered her face and turned her back.

"Come on, you ok?" Martin said as Byron, already out of the camera's sight, sat on the ground. "Uh oh, what? Either they're having an affair or they're just very shy."

On July 19, Astronomer on LinkedIn said its board of directors has initiated a formal investigation, noting it's "committed to the values and culture that have guided us since our founding."

The company is now looking for its next CEO, while its co-founder and Chief Product Officer, Pete DeJoy, serves as interim CEO.

Cabot's replacement is also still unknown as of writing.
