What to know about the new Instagram font 'Rosalía,' including the 'secret' emojis
Have you exhausted every font out there for your Instagram posts? Then you may be delighted to know that there's a new aesthetic style you can try out that will make your posts stand out even more.
Dubbed "Rosalía," the new font was launched on July 2 and is available to use for both your Instagram Stories and Reels.
The font features a distinctive, somewhat splotchy, all‑caps handwritten look that brings an authentic, youthful, artistic vibe to your posts.
While it may seem like just a typical font at first, what makes it special is that it was inspired by Spanish pop and flamenco singer Rosalía.
"'Dilo' is Spanish for 'say it,' and that’s exactly what we hope you’ll do with our new font, created in partnership with the one and only Rosalía. Inspired by her bold and declarative handwriting, our Instagram Design team worked tirelessly from sketches to the final product to translate her one-of-a-kind letterforms into a font for everyone," the app's design team wrote in a post.
"There will always be a hundred reasons not to do something. With Rosalía's font, we want to inspire you to make it happen—dream, create, dilo anyway," they added.
To maximize the font, you can also try out some fun combinations that would result in "secret" emojis, including a hand-drawn smiley and devil face, a heart, a star, and a cross.
The combinations are as follows:

Who is Rosalía?
Rosalia Vila Tobella, or more popularly known as Rosalía, is a popular singer in Spain known for "redefining the sounds of flamenco."
She first rose to fame when she released her single Malamente in 2018 and went on to release other hits. She has since received numerous accolades for her work, including 13 Latin Grammy Awards.
Her popularity led her to collaborate with other big music artists, such as Harry Styles for his music video Adore You and Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion for their music video WAP.
Rosalía has also started to branch out into acting, doing a cameo in the 2019 film Pain and Glory, which starred Antonio Banderas and Penelope Cruz.
