Lily Allen reveals she 'can't remember' how many abortions she's had

Lily Allen spoke candidly about her history with abortion, admitting she couldn't recall how many she's had.

On her "Miss Me?" podcast, the British singer discussed contraception with co-host Miquita Oliver. She said that before she started using an IUD in her early twenties, she experienced frequent pregnancies, which led her to have multiple abortions.

“Abortions, I've had a few. But then again, I can't remember exactly how many," Allen said, adding that she thinks she had “about five.”

Allen recounted an instance where a man paid for the abortion process after getting her pregnant, a gesture she initially found “so romantic.”

However, she admitted that her opinions have since changed significantly.

"I don't think it's generous or romantic. How much is it, like, 500 quid? Kids are a lot more expensive,” she said, adding that the man never followed up with her after the abortion.

She also shared that she has since improved her use of contraceptives.

“I have an IUD now. I think I’m on my third, maybe fourth,” she stated, contrasting this with her past experiences, which she called “a complete disaster area.”

Allen and her ex-husband Sam Cooper are parents to two daughters, Marnie Rose and Ethel Mary. The former couple also had a son, George, who was stillborn in 2010.

In 2020, she married Stranger Things star David Harbour, but they reportedly split in February.
