A panic attack is a "sudden episode of intense fear that triggers severe physical reactions when there is no real danger or apparent cause," per health information website Mayo Clinic. Symptoms include sweating, shaking, shortnes of breath, chills, nausea, chest pain, headache, feeling of unreality or detachment, among others.

According to Mayo Clinic, one might think they're "losing control, having a heart attack, or even dying," when it occurs, so it's important to see a doctor when symptoms arise.
