TikTok star and influencer Dominique McShain has passed away aged 21.

According to a report by PEOPLE Magazine, she died one year after sharing that she was diagnosed with colorectal cancer that was not curable.

Her death came a few weeks after she shared on Instagram that she only had "a few days to a few weeks to live."

In her April 6 post, her final health update, she said that her liver was "falling rapidly to the point of jaundice" and that her cancer was "progressing quickly."

"Because of this, I'm no longer able to receive any treatments, including the chemo I've been on for 7 months over last year," she shared at the time, adding that she transitioned into end-of-life care, "focusing on pain relief and managing side effects" in the hospital and hospice facilities.

"My life may be short, but I genuinely think I've squeezed every bit out of it," she mused, pointing out that she had a family that loved her unconditionally as well as friends "who would 10000% donate a liver to me or do anything they could (and probably argue over who gets to do it)."

McShain also said then that she was "picturing Heaven often—a place where l'll finally be free from the pain that's been with me for so long." She added, "I imagine myself without the constant suffering, no longer needing medication just to survive the day. I'll be able to run, to breathe, to feel whole."

"Though it will hurt to leave you all behind, please know that I will finally be out of pain, and I will be at peace," she continued.

McShain first opened up about her cancer diagnosis in April 2024, saying she had to take a break from school to receive treatment.

The social media personality has over 11,000 followers on Instagram and almost 200,000 followers on TikTok, where she consistently shared her journey to raise awareness of her illness.
